The third layer of gauze creates a more opaque fabric than its double layer cousin, making it suitable for skirts, dresses, tops, and covers. As always, this is a lovely fabric for baby clothing, swaddling blankets, bibs, bathrobes, and washcloths as it is absorbent and gentle on baby's skin.
