Cotton provides a good breeding ground for the growth of spores, mites, bacteria and other pathogens. With Trevira-Bioactive there are silver ions firmly integrated into the fiber, which have an antimicrobial effect and thus inhibit the growth of bacteria. Odor development is also prevented. This effect lasts forever!
Cotton is not optimal for use as a filter since the irregular yarn and fabric structure (natural fiber) results in inconsistent filter performance. Trevira-Bioactive is processed as an endless micro-filament. Due to the many extremely thin capillaries, the filter performance is very good.
