Boiled wool is a knit fabric which has been fulled in boiling water. This produces a tight, dense felted fabric which is warm, strong, and resistant to water and wind. Merino fibers are only half as thick as conventional virgin wool making it a much softer, finer and more comfortable fabric to wear when in direct contact with the skin. This is a lighter version of traditional boiled wool and is suitable for tops, overalls, jackets, hats, scarves and more.
The felting of the wool means edges will not fray and do not need to be hemmed.
